CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - The search is on for a road rage shooter accused of injuring a child on the Northwest Side Friday morning.
Two vehicles were involved in a minor crash on Western Avenue near Hirsch Street in Wicker Park, at around 8:30 a.m.
Chicago Police said as the driver of one of the vehicles was going to exchange information, the other driver pulled out a gun and opened fire.
An 11-year-old boy sitting in that second car was shot in the left hand. He was taken to Stroger Hospital and last listed in good condition.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
Area Five detectives are investigating.
