
ROMEOVILLE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A 16-year-old boy from Chicago is charged with murder for a shooting at an entertainment complex in Romeoville last month.
The shooting occurred on June 24 at a business called Scene75 Entertainment, where there are arcade games, go-karts and batting cages, among other things.
Police said at the time there was an argument and a 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, both from Chicago, were shot.
The 19-year-old died.
Police also said they knew who they were looking for, another teen from Chicago. The shooter was gone when they arrived.
Now, police said, the boy, who’s not being identified because of his age, was arrested in the Uptown neighborhood in Chicago, with assistance from theU.S. Marshal's Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task force.
He’s charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm.
Bond was set at $5 million.
