A 16-year-old boy was killed and a 13-year-old girl was wounded in a shooting Saturday night in Douglas Park on the West Side.

Rishiwn Hendricks was standing outside about 8:20 p.m. on Fairfield near Roosevelt when two males got out of a dark sedan and opened fire, striking him once in the back, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The girl was standing nearby and was shot twice in the neck by stray bullets. She was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was listed in good condition, police said.

No one was arrested.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
