(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A Bridgeview woman has been accused of plotting with her McDonald’s coworker to have her boyfriend killed, police said.

The murder happened on Wednesday. Officials said 39-year-old Arturo Cantu was shot to death outside of an apartment building located at 79th Street and Oketo Avenue.

On Saturday, Bridgeview police charged his girlfriend, 33-year-old Agnieszka Rydzewski, with solicitation for murder over Cantu’s death. Rydzewski’s coworker, 20-year-old Anthony Calderon, was accused of being the shooter.

According to prosecutors, messages from Cantu's phone indicated relationship problems with Rydzewski, while messages from her phone suggested a romantic relationship with Calderon.

Prosecutors said Calderon confessed to the murder after being arrested at his home.

Rydzewski was expected in court on Sunday. Calderon’s next court date was scheduled for Tuesday.
