BROOKFIELD (WBBM ENEWSRADIO) - Valentine’s Day is about three weeks away, and, if you haven't thought about what to get your ex, yes, your ex, Brookfield Zoo has a suggestion.

Forget a card, chocolates or flowers, how about naming a Madagascar hissing cockroach after an annoying ex or anyone who bugs you?

For a $15 donation, you can choose a first name to be displayed on a board that will be unveiled on Valentine’s Day, along with your first name. Yes, there's always a catch.

You can find more information online https://www.brookfieldzoo.org/Cockroach. For the name to be included on the naming board, you have until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5.

Since 2020, the cockroach naming fundraiser has brought in more than $50,000 to support animal welfare, conservation and habitat preservation at the zoo.
