(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Illinois' Attorney General teamed up with downstate sheriff's officials who arrested two brothers on charges of possessing child pornography.

With the help of the Edgar County Sheriff's Department, Attorney General Kwame Raoul's office charged two Paris, Illinois men.

They searched the home of Robert E. Porter, 47 and Toby T. Porter, 38 Thursday and arrested the brothers.

They face several felony charges of alleged possession of child pornography.

Raoul said this case is part of his on-going work with federal and state law enforcement to apprehend and hold accountable offenders who download and share pornography on line.

“Possessing child pornography is a heinous crime that can leave life-long scars on children and their families," he added. "Those responsible for downloading or sharing this disturbing content must be held accountable."
