CAMPTON HILLS (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - An embattled trustee in far west suburban Campton Hills has resigned.
Timothy Morgan resigned from the Campton Hills Village Board just one day before he was scheduled to be deposed by the Kane County state’s attorney’s office.
He was elected last year, but his eligibility came into question after a 2002 felony DUI conviction in Michigan resurfaced.
Morgan said he paid for his crime and that trying to remove him from office was a waste of taxpayer dollars.
The Village of Campton Hills is now taking applications to fill in his seat.
