CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Two Chicago police officers were injured in a crash on the Far Northwest Side Thursday night.
Chicago police said the two officers were driving east on Irving Park Road with their lights and sirens on in the Irving Woods neighborhood at about 6 p.m. when a driver in an SUV going the same way made a U-turn near Cumberland and hit the squad car. The squad went into a fence.
All three went to the hospital. The officers suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The 57-year-old man was listed in good condition. He was ticketed.
