CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - If you've been putting off buying a new shovel or snow blower, you've probably gotten away with it so far this winter.
But, Chicago hardware stores expect to remain busy during the snowfall.
Kelly Hayward works at J.C. Licht Ace Hardware on the 700 block of South State Street, and said Chicagoans now don’t have any choice.
“Hopefully, people will prepare, they’ll probably come in after it starts,” she laughed Tuesday.
That Ace hardware location in the South Loop said Tuesday it still has plenty of snow blowers, shovels, ice scrapers, salt, and other snow fighting equipment in stock.
Chicago normally gets about 38 inches of snow per winter but has had far less so far this winter.
