CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Murder charges have been filed against a South Side man accused of shooting two former co-workers at Navy Pier on Tuesday afternoon.

The man is identified as 36-years-old Raylon East, a resident of the 2300 block of East 70th Street.

He’s been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of unlawful possession and use of a weapon by a felon.

East had been fired from his job at Navy Pier in October. It’s alleged that he got into an office near a loading dock at the pier and shot two former co-workers: 47-year-old Peter Jennings and 51-year-old Lamont Johnson.

Both died of a gunshot wound to their heads.

Police released surveillance camera images of the suspect, and he was later identified and arrested. East was described as a disgruntled ex-employee.
