(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Two Chicago Fire Department paramedics were robbed early this morning in Auburn Gresham on the south side.
The paramedics were responding to a call near 79th and Troop at around 2:45 in the morning when Chicago police say or a young man held them up.
Police say he implied he had a weapon and took cash from the paramedics, who then were able to overpower and detain the suspect until police arrived.
The paramedics suffered minor injuries.
Officers arrested him and did not find a weapon.
