Chicago shooting leaves man dead, 6-month-old boy wounded: Police

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A man was killed, and a 6-month-old boy was wounded after a shooting on Chicago's Southwest Side Wednesday morning.

It happened around 10:45 a.m. on South Oakley Avenue near West 24th Street in the Lower West Side.

Police said a blue vehicle approached another vehicle when people inside began firing shots.

The driver was struck in the head and body, and he died at the scene.

The baby was taken to Stroger Hospital with a graze wound to his cheek. He's listed in good condition.

No arrests have been made in the shooting.
