ELBURN (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A Chicago area veterinarian and national dog show judge is facing charges for child pornography.

Adam Stafford King of Elburn was arrested Friday. An FBI investigation found that he sent several videos of child pornography to someone via the Telegram app.

According to prosecutors, King claimed to have drugged and sexually abused his nieces and nephews.

King also allegedly claimed that he was planning to sexually assault his newborn son he and his husband were expecting by a surrogate at the end of the month.

At King's initial court appearance Friday, prosecutors asked him to be held in custody without bond.

The American Kennel Club said King has been stripped of all his judging privileges. He was also a staff ophthalmologist at MedVet Chicago, a veterinary clinic in Avondale.
