Retail operations at Chicago's Main Post Office downtown had to shutdown Tuesday because of a water main break.

The U.S. Postal Service said it’s assessing damage at its main post office at 433 West Harrison in the West Loop. It was wet all over after a water main break Tuesday. Water covered floors and caused ice to form on the stairs outside the building.

Because of the issue, retail operations at the facility were closed Tuesday, and people were advised to visit a different post office.
