(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Its commercials have become a part of the holiday tradition in the Chicago area.
You know, the one with the jingle that goes, “Everything Christmas, Treetime.com.”
And it's Made in Chicago.
This year has been like no other for Treetime in Lake Barrington.
Owner Laurie Kane said it began with many of this year's artificial Christmas trees arriving only now, much later than usual.
"We have experienced some of the same supply-chain issues that almost everybody in the country has been experiencing. So, normally we would have our trees in sometimes August, sometimes early September is when we like to get them in," Kane said.
The delays forced Treetime and its customers to be more flexible.

"The good news is we have a bunch of trees in our showroom all set up for people to come look at. We're just taking pre-orders for the trees. Then when they come in, we're just letting you know and you can come get 'em," she said.
Time is of the essence this year, she said.
"The sooner you can order them the better because we're getting our orders organized. So, the minute those trees come to us we're just basically loading them right on to the FedEx truck to get them off to you or having the people pick them up depending on how that works.”
