
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Climate justice groups rallied in Chicago Friday to criticize President Biden for what they say are broken promises.
“He basically said on the campaign trail that he wasn’t going to approve any more fossil fuel projects on federal land, and he’s doing that now,” said Larry Coble, spokesperson for the environmental group 350 Chicago.
Coble said President Biden should declare a climate emergency.
Other goals include convincing banks not to invest in fossil-fuel projects.
Nationally, about 1,200 climate activists demonstrated across the U.S.
