CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Drivers should expect more slowdowns on DuSable Lake Shore Drive over the next few days.

The Chicago Department of Transportation said the resurfacing of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive between LaSalle Drive and Hollywood Avenue will continue Monday and Tuesday starting at 9 a.m.

On both days, southbound traffic will be reduced to two lanes between Irving Park and LaSalle Drive.

Both northbound and southbound traffic will be reduced to three lanes between Hollywood and Lawrence.

All the ramps will remain open, though, and all lanes are expected to reopen by 4 p.m. on each day.

Weather permitting, the city said this work is expected to complete the resurfacing project that has caused lengthy closures for the past month.
