(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- North Central College is hosting its 16th annual "Chords for Kids" concert for children with disabilities this weekend.
Larry Van Oyen said the concert will allow attendees to be themselves.
"The concert's intended for the entire family to come so they can enjoy the music in a real welcoming environment. Our motto is 'wigglers welcome,’” Van Oyen said.
The children can sing, dance and make as much noise as they want without being seen as disruptive, he said.
The concert has become a beloved tradition for many families.
"They look forward to it every year,” he said.
The North Central College Concert Winds will perform Disney songs and other classic like "YMCA" and "SpongeBob SquarePants."
The concert is 7 p.m. Saturday at North Central College.
Tickets are free.
