CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police have arrested a concealed carry holder after a shooting on Michigan Avenue.

The Firearm Owner’s Identification (FOID) card holder allegedly fired his gun during an argument.

Chicago Police said  two men, 48 and 35, were involved in a confrontation at South Michigan and Jackson early Thursday morning. The older man began to run, and then the 35-year-old pulled a gun and fired a bullet striking the older man.

He was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital  in fair condition.

The 35-year-old was taken into custody at the scene.

It’s not clear what the argument was about, or why it escalated to gunfire.
