Concealed carry license holder on NW Side shoots man after argument got heated: Police

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A concealed carry license holder is in custody after shooting a man during an argument on the Northwest Side overnight.

A 46-year-old man is in critical condition following the incident in the Cragin neighborhood.

Chicago police said it happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. near Fullerton and Laramie.

The victim got into an argument with another man who then took out a handgun and shot him. The 46-year-old was wounded in the chest and taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police then arrested the suspect. According to police, he’s a concealed carry license holder.

Area Five detectives are investigating.
