
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Cook County has the "help wanted" sign out ahead of next month's presidential primary.
The Cook County Clerk's office is looking for residents to work as election judges and polling place technicians.
Judges will be paid $250 dollars to greet and sign in voters. Technicians will earn $400 to check supplies and equipment and help with set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of election equipment.
There will be training for both positions.
To qualify, an election judge must be a registered Cook County voter or an eligible college or high school student at least 16 years old.
The Clerk's Office is also looking for bilingual judges with high concentrations of Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Urdu, Arabic, and other languages.
