CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Chicago Police of Department Chief of detectives calls on the community to help solve this past weekend's violent crimes as no one is in custody yet.
CPD Chief of Detectives Brendan Deenahan said in a press briefing from CPD headquarters that community tips are likely to play a big role in solving murders that happened over the weekend, which include two men killed in a shooting at 116th and Lowell in West Pullman.
"I know we talk about technology that the detectives are utilizing, but not all the murders have cameras that capture it," he explained
He said from the Northside to the Southside detectives are seeking assistance from the public and that people can send tips anonomously or online at https://new.tipsubmit.com/en/create-report/anonymous/ChicagoPD.
Deenahan is also specifically looking for information that will identify an individual involved in a robbery shooting on Webster Friday in Lincoln Park that has one man now in critical condition.
"We believe the individual responsible for that robbery and shooting are responsible for several more robberies and shootings as well," he said.
