CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago Police fired shots during a confrontation with a suspect on the South Side Monday night.
Officers were responding to reports of a person with a gun near 71st and Jeffrey when, police said, a man pointed a gun at them and ran away.
Chicago police said an officer fired at the man, but he was not hit.
The man was taken into custody and taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The officers involved will be placed on routine administrative duties, while the Civilian Office of Police Accountability investigate the specifics of the incident.
