CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Someone fired paintballs at CPD vehicles parked outside the first district station overnight.
It was about 2:20 am when marked squads parked outside the station at 17th and State were peppered with what police said, "appear to be paintballs." They also hit the front windows of the building. The front desk, typically staffed by officers, is behind those windows. No people were hit.
There are cameras in the area. Police said the incident is under investigation.
On past Halloweens, although this occurred Tuesday, police cars have been pelted with eggs.
