There’s some impressive news about the latest accomplishments of dozens of Chicago Public School teachers.
The Chicago Teachers Union said that on Wednesday, the school board will be honoring 49 teachers who have earned National Board certification. The teachers union said 103 teachers have renewed their national certifications. certifications.
These latest teachers to become certified puts CPS as the school district with the third most teachers who are nationally certified.
The teachers union said nearly 45% of the teachers achieving national certification are people of color.
In all, the union said more than 2,400 National Board Certified teachers have come out of the CPS system.
