CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago Public School parents can go online for the next several weeks to apply to schools they want their children to attend next year.
The GoCPS application window ends at 5 p.m. on November 9. That’s for elementary and high school students. CPS said parents can go online to search out schools near them or across the city for whatever they feel would be the best fit for their children.
Students who are applying to selective enrollment programs must take entrance exams. This year, for the first time, the high school admission test has been cut back from two-and-a-half hours to one hour, and the test will be offered in six languages instead of only in English.
