(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The CTA will once again be spreading holiday cheer to commuters starting next week.
The CTA's Holiday Train will be making the rounds, decorated with holiday scenes and twinkling lights, plus Santa and his reindeer along for the ride greeting riders.
The beloved Holiday Train will make its first stop on the Orange and Green Lines beginning Nov. 29, while holiday buses will begin their rounds Nov. 26.
Each train car is wrapped in holiday and seasonal images and twinkling lights. Meanwhile, holiday buses will transform into a "winter wonderland."
The CTA's Holiday Bus will also be back bringing joy to 17 bus routes, continuing the tradition, the interior of this year's bus will feature the artwork of local Chicago elementary students.
The CTA says it is continuing its decades-long tradition of supporting Chicago families in need during the holiday season. This year the agency says it's donating about 400 food baskets to local community organizations.
