CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A new, one-of-a-kind sportsbook is coming to Wrigleyville later this month.
If you've taken a walk through Wrigleyville recently, you might have noticed a shiny new building sitting adjacent to Wrigley Field.
Blake Milburn with Marquee Development said the new, 17,000-square-foot bar and restaurant will feature an elevated menu of food and drinks and a 2,000-square-foot video wall.
Most importantly, he said, it will honor iconic Wrigley Field and bring the stadium's historic "architectural language" into the space.
"You see the exposed structural steel columns and trusses, the Wrigley green throughout and really all the textures and finishes that are in this space," Milburn said.
He also said a retail betting component is expected to come to the space later on.
DraftKings Sportsbook opens June 27.
