Get it before it’s gone: Daisies brings Chicago Style Croissant to Logan Square

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – A pastry mash-up that’s as Chicago as it gets has arrived at Daisies in Logan Square.

Just after New Year’s, Daisies released its collaboration with the Wieners Circle for what they’ve dubbed a Chicago Style Croissant, which of course includes a hot dog.

The croissant is stuffed with a char-dog, mustard, relish, celery salt, and onions. Additionally, it is garnished with a pickle, sport pepper, and a tomato.

Daisies is serving up the Chicago Style Croissant beginning at 7 a.m. at the cafe until they sell out for the duration of January.

So far, the special pastry appears to be a big hit. Staff working on Saturday said they nearly sold out of the croissants on the first day they were available. On Friday, the Chicago Style Croissants were sold out by 11 a.m. On Saturday, staff made around 100 of the hot dog croissants.

Overall, the Chicago Style Croissant was a great tasting, savory croissant that remained true to the classic Chicago dish.

The croissant will run you $8.50, which is $2.50 more than what a char-dog goes for at the Wieners Circle.

Daisies is located at 2375 N. Milwaukee Ave. and opens every day at 7 a.m.
