MCHENRY (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Authorities in McHenry County are working to identify a body pulled from the Fox River Wednesday afternoon.
A boater spotted the body of a man in the river around 3:15 p.m. near the 2000 block of S. Fernwood Lane.
McHenry Police Department said in a press release that a death investigation is underway. They also noted the department is currently investigating the disappearance of 28-year-old Gustavo Guzman-Perez who was last seen on Saturday, April 22 in the 3000 block of West Virginia Avenue in the McHenry Country Club subdivision. The two locations are just a few miles apart along the Fox River.
An autopsy on the body pulled from the river is scheduled for today.
