CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A Texas delegate in Chicago for the DNC was robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday morning.

The confrontation happened outside the Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel on Randolph Street around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Chicago Police said someone got out of a black SUV and robbed a 25-year-old man at gunpoint. He took his wallet and his hotel room key.

Just a couple minutes later, the robber ran across the street and, according to CWB Chicago, robbed a member of the Texas Democratic Delegation and his friend.

No one was hurt though no arrests have been made.

CPD said a similar robbery was reported outside the Emily Hotel on Morgan Street on Tuesday.
