DOLTON (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Village trustees in Dolton attended their regular monthly meeting last night, and they learned about new problems.
It was revealed that the village’s employees lost life insurance coverage in August.
“That program was actually terminated and canceled by Blue Cross and Blue Shield due to nonpayment of premium,” said a representative with VistaNational Insurance Group, Inc.
It’s expected that it will be corrected.
It was a calm meeting, unlike many over the past year.
Embattled Mayor Tiffany Henyard, who’s accused of financial mismanagement, was not present.
She denies any wrongdoing.
Henyard is being challenged in the upcoming election by Trustee Jason House.
