DOLTON, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Dolton Village Trustees held a special board meeting Thursday night to discuss what they say are financial issues and allegations of sexual assault against one of their own.

"Something has to give," a resident said. "These people cannot walk around, and take our money, and treat us like crap."

The meeting was held at a park district building, because, some trustees said Mayor Tiffany Henyard, controls who gets into the village hall.

The trustees demanded financial records and transparency.

Also discussed were claims by a a village employee who said she was fired after reporting to the mayor that she was sexually assaulted by a trustee.

"There are terrible allegations people are aware of," said trustee Jason House. He added that "it was reported that an investigation did happen", but House does not believe that and said that it's "very frightening and dangerous."
