CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A car crashed into a Neiman Marcus on the Magnificent Mile early Monday morning in a burglary attempt, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 4:30 a.m., someone driving a Nissan sedan crashed the vehicle into the Neiman Marcus located at Michigan Avenue and Superior Street, police said.
The would-be thieves were able to break through the store's glass doors, but they weren't able to enter the store due to a second set of locked doors.
Police said nothing was taken, and the suspects fled east on Chicago Avenue in three cars. They left the Nissan at the scene.
No one is in custody, and there were no injuries.
Area Three detectives are investigating.
