(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The school district in Algonquin is reporting four dozen students with COVID-19, including two hospitalizations.
The school year in Algonquin began just two weeks ago.
But already Unit District 300 says 48 students have tested positive for the coronavirus, and two students are in the hospital.
The Daily Herald reports that, in addition to that, more than 300 unvaccinated students had to quarantine after being exposed to the virus.
And 63 other students were apparently exposed to coronavirus, but they were vaccinated.
