LA GRANGE, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A woman from the Western Suburb is making money...out of plastic bottles.

Kerry Farris is the Founder and CEO of Once Again Home.

The consultant from LaGrange got into the business of selling towels out of recycled plastic bottles.

"What we're trying to do is get people to use less paper towels- less paper products by using our towels, some of our sponges napkins as replacements."

The bottles are broken down and refined into string that is then woven into a towel or napkin.

Farris told the WBBM Noon Business hour that she got the idea during the opening days of the COVID-19 pandemic and that her business background allowed her to hit the ground running.

"I was able to to get the samples done quite quickly," she added. "We relied a lot on friends and family. We already knew what shows and retailers we want to present this to."
