Fearful of threats, Henyard skips meetings

DOLTON (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Meetings of the boards of trustees in Dolton and Thornton Township were skipped Monday by the Mayor and Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard.

There was protesting before the Dolton meeting got underway.

Foes of the embattled Mayor Tiffany Henyard, who had earlier said there was an unspecified threat, explained her absence.

A citizen responded during public comment.

“She is the threat, she is the outright, unadulterated threat,” the woman said.

The meeting continued with the traditional airing of grievances against the mayor.

Henyard also failed to show up for a board of trustees meeting in Thornton Township, where she’s supervisor.

She’s running for re-election in Dolton.

She’s suing after getting knocked off the ballot for Thornton township supervisor.
