CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Former Chicago Bear Brian Urlacher is squaring off against another opponent -- this time in federal court.
Since his playing days, Brian Urlacher is best known for promoting a hair restoration company. Now, he’s lining up against a different company for allegedly using his name in the company’s online search engine key words.
Urlacher is suing Medical Man Cave. According to Crain’s Business, he’s seeking at least $50,000 for allegedly publishing false statements by purposely affiliating him with the company. Urlacher has promoted Restore Hair for about 10 years.
"Mr. Urlacher was damaged economically and non-economically through lost profits, loss of reputation, loss of business, dilution of name and other and further damages," the complaint states.
Medical Man Cave has locations in Chicago, Florida, Colorado and Texas. A spokesperson at the company's Dallas location said he was unable to comment, but the situation "has been addressed," according to Crain's.
