French bulldog back with his Douglas Park owner after allegedly being stolen by Amazon driver

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A stolen dog was reunited with his owner in Douglas Park Saturday, a day after the pup was plucked from his front yard.

Marisol Doblado had a sleepless night before she found her French bulldog Pluto. She told CBS-2 Pluto is her emotional support animal.

“Him being gone, I was shaking all night…I couldn’t control my anxiety because…There’s some bad people out there, and you never know what they’re going to do them when they take them,” Dobolado said.

She shared with CBS-2 a video that showed a delivery man drop off a package a couple of doors down and then he appears to take the dog and put it in a black SUV.

“We called Amazon immediately. Amazon gave us the run-around for hours and hours. We didn’t sleep,” Dublado said.

So, she took to social media, sharing her story and the videos.  A woman found Pluto, and others made the connection so they could reunite.  An Amazon spokesman said it has suspended the driver pending an investigation.

Doblado said Chicago police told her the delivery driver turned himself in. She is debating whether to press charges.
