CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Frozen switches resulted in massive delays for Metra BNSF trains this morning.

Both inbound and outbound trains on the BNSF line were delayed by up to 55 minutes during the morning rush because of switch problems near Congress Park and Cicero.

At 7:15 a.m., the temperature at O’Hare was only 15 degrees and wind chills were in the single digits.

Metra's SouthWest Service also had its share of switch problems.
