(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — “The Bear,” the massively popular show about the staff at a Chicago Italian beef restaurant, will return for a third season.

The FX/Hulu series stars Jeremy Allen White as chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, who inherited the restaurant after his brother’s death.

Network officials said the third season will return in 2024. The exact date was not specified, though, and it was unclear when its release date would be set given the ongoing actors strike.

The show, created by Christopher Storer, has won several awards, including a 2023 Golden Globe for best actor for White.

“The Bear” has been nominated for 13 Primetime Emmy Awards.
