GARY, IND. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- An arrest warrant has been issued for a Gary man who’s alleged to have been involved in an incident in May that left a woman and her children terrorized.
A woman knocked on a door and asked the woman who answered if she could have some soap, according to Gary police. Then two men pushed into the home and two more were let in the back door.
Police said the woman was repeatedly pistol- whipped and beaten. Her infant was picked up by the legs and was shaken and tossed on a bed.
The woman's 4-year-old daughter was pulled from a bed and thrown against a wall and her father’s ashes were thrown on the floor.
The Times of Northwest Indiana said she identified Curtis White, 23 as the one who allegedly did most of it.
She said she was robbed of more than $2,000 dollars. The woman was treated for various injuries.
Curtis White, according to court records, was out on bond on two other criminal cases, including armed robbery, at the time. He’s now facing nine felony charges.
