JOLIET (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Charges have been filed after online threats forced some suburban school districts to switch to E-learning Monday.
One threat stated that armed students would be inside all of Joliet's schools.
Joliet Police have since charged a 14-year-old girl with felony disorderly conduct. Police said she's a Joliet West High School student.
Additionally, a 12-year-old-girl was also charged with felony disorderly conduct after an additional social media threat involving Dirksen Junior High in Joliet.
In Plainfield, police will have an increased presence at Central High School Tuesday after another unsubstantiated threat was made.
So far, police said there's no indication any of the threats are credible.
