HAMMOND, Ind. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Hammond woman was arrested this week for allegedly making threats to a Juvenile Court Judge and police say she didn’t go quietly.

Dorothy King, 57 made threats to kill a judge, social worker and others during a hearing on Zoom in a child custody case, according to police.

An arrest warrant was issued and police located the woman sitting in her car.

They said she refused to get out and put the car in drive, attempting to get away. Hammond and state police used their cars to box her in.

They say she still tried to get away and she was agitated.

“Out of caution for the officers and the public, all four of the tires on the vehicle were deflated by law enforcement in order to disable the vehicle", said statement from state police.

Police said King still refused to get out and was becoming more agitated, so they broke the windows and sprayed a chemical agent into the car.

She then got out and she’s now charged with four felony counts of intimidation for the alleged threats.
