HAZEL CREST (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police in south suburban Hazel Crest are looking for two drivers who ran over a woman last week.

Witnesses tried to stop traffic near 173rd and Kedzie, at around 11:20 p.m. Thursday, after a pedestrian was hit by what they believe was a white SUV. However, police said a black car ignored them and ran over the woman.

The Daily Southtown reported paramedics took her to the hospital where she died on Sunday.

She’s been identified as 22-year-old Tamia Costello of Harvey.

Anyone with information about the incident, including anyone who has video footage, is asked to contact Hazel Crest Police at 708-335-9640.
