CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Debt relief for vehicle violations is coming to a close with applications ending soon.
Today is the last day to apply for standard relief. Hardship relief applications begin Saturday.
This program provides low-income motorists with relief – reduction or elimination of certain vehicle-related debt, including parking, red light, and speed tickets. The program does not include expired meter tickets.
Applicants must be the registered owner of the vehicle and must be a member of a household currently enrolled in the Utility Billing Relief program or have a household income meeting the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
