(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The state's top law enforcement officer says his office has been the victim of some kind of cyber hack.
Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul on Tuesday said Information Technology staff and investigators are trying to determine what happened and the extent to which the network was compromised.
The breach was discovered early Saturday.
"I am committed to resolving this situation as soon as possible to ensure that the Attorney General's office can continue to provide critical services to the people of Illinois," Raoul said in a prepared statement.
No further information was immediately available.
