(WBBM NEWSRADIO) - The Illinois Republican Party is urging Governor Pritzker to cooperate with the Trump Administration.

Illinois Republic Party Chair Kathy Salvi says Governor Pritzker's stance on immigration amounts to political grandstanding.

“He is gaslighting the Illinois electorate, the families and citizens who live here peacefully, and turning this very serious issue into a political carnival, I believe, for his own future presidential run,” says Salvi.

To fix that, she says it’s simple.

“Get out of the way Governor Pritzker and work with this administration because the will of the people of this country, by popular exclamation, have elected Donald J. Trump to fix America and fix Illinois,” Salvi says.
