CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Technicians have been inspecting a plane after it bumped another aircraft at O’Hare Airport on Sunday night.
The Delta flight, from Detroit, landed at about 7 p.m. and was preparing to park at O’Hare when a spokesperson said another plane made contact with it.
It’s not clear what parts touched and what kind of plane was also involved, but Delta said no one was injured and passengers were able to deplane without issues.
The site Flight Aware said the plane is a Boeing 717 — and is scheduled to return to Detroit later on Monday, as long as an inspection finds no issues.
With temperatures still stubbornly below zero in Chicago, over 300 flights were canceled at O’Hare Airport as of 1:50 p.m. Monday. Midway Airport, meanwhile, has seen over 170 cancellations.
Over the past 24 hours, nearly 750 flights have been delayed at O’Hare.
