Trendy Japanese convenience store chain to open 2 locations in Chicago area

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A popular international dollar store chain is making its way into Illinois.

Daiso, the Japan-based retailer, prides itself on offering a variety of “affordable and unique" Japanese-inspired products.

This includes Japanese snacks as well as beauty products, decor, kitchenware, and stationery.

The chain, which has been growing in popularity on social media, will open two locations in Illinois, one at Hinsdale Lake Commons in Willowbrook and another at Silver Glen Crossing in South Elgin.
